LinkedIn Ads Reporting: How to Give Your Whole Team Live Campaign Stats (Without Sharing Logins)
LinkedIn Ads Campaign Manager is fine for running ads. It’s terrible for sharing results with your team.
Here’s the problem: your media buyer lives in Campaign Manager. But your account manager needs to check performance before a client call. Your CEO wants a quick glance at spend. Your strategist wants to compare LinkedIn against other channels.
None of them should need Campaign Manager access to see how ads are performing.
The fix is simple: pull your LinkedIn Ads data into a live dashboard that anyone can view. No logins. No training. No “can you export that report for me?” Slack messages.
I’ll show you exactly how we set this up at our agency using Supermetrics and Looker Studio. Takes about 15 minutes, and then your team has real-time LinkedIn Ads performance forever.
The Problem With LinkedIn’s Native Reporting
LinkedIn Campaign Manager wasn’t built for team visibility. It was built for the person running the ads.
That creates a few annoying problems:
Limited access control. You either give someone full Campaign Manager access (risky) or you become their personal report-runner (annoying). There’s no “view-only dashboard” option built into LinkedIn.
Manual exports. Every time someone needs data, you’re exporting CSVs, formatting spreadsheets, and emailing files that are outdated by the time they’re opened.
No cross-channel view. Your LinkedIn data lives in LinkedIn. Your Google Ads data lives in Google. Your Meta data lives in Meta. Comparing them means tab-switching or manual spreadsheet work.
Static snapshots. LinkedIn’s built-in reports show you a moment in time. They don’t auto-update. Tomorrow, that report is already stale.
What you actually want: a live dashboard your whole team can bookmark, check anytime, and trust that it’s showing current data.
The Solution: Supermetrics + Looker Studio
Here’s the setup:
- Supermetrics connects to your LinkedIn Ads account and pulls the data
- Looker Studio displays that data in a live, shareable dashboard
- Your team bookmarks the dashboard and checks it whenever they want
No Campaign Manager access required. No manual exports. Data refreshes automatically.

Let me walk you through exactly how to set this up.
Step 1: Connect Your LinkedIn Ads Account to Supermetrics
First, you need to link your LinkedIn Ads account to Supermetrics. This is a one-time setup.
[SCREENSHOT: Supermetrics data source selection showing LinkedIn Ads option]
In Supermetrics, go to your data sources and select LinkedIn Ads. You’ll be prompted to authenticate with LinkedIn.
[SCREENSHOT: LinkedIn OAuth/authorization screen]
Click through the authorization. You’re giving Supermetrics read-only access to your ad data—it can pull stats but can’t make changes to your campaigns.
[SCREENSHOT: Selecting the LinkedIn Ad Account/Company Page]
Select the LinkedIn Ad Account you want to report on. If you manage multiple accounts (like we do at our agency), you can connect them all and switch between them later.
That’s it for the connection. Now Supermetrics can pull your LinkedIn Ads data anytime.
Step 2: Set Up Your Looker Studio Dashboard
Now we need somewhere to display the data. Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) is free and perfect for this.
The fastest way to get started: use a template.
[SCREENSHOT: Supermetrics template gallery or Looker Studio template selection]
Supermetrics has pre-built LinkedIn Ads templates that are already configured with the most useful metrics and visualizations. You don’t need to build from scratch.

Select a LinkedIn Ads template and connect it to your data source.

The template will ask you to select your Supermetrics LinkedIn Ads connector. Pick the account you connected in Step 1.

Once connected, the template automatically pulls in your data. You’ll see your actual campaign stats populate the dashboard within seconds.
Step 3: What Data You’ll See
A good LinkedIn Ads dashboard shows you the metrics that actually matter:
[SCREENSHOT: Full dashboard view with data populated]
Spend & Budget Pacing
- Total spend (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Spend by campaign
- Budget utilization
Performance Metrics
- Impressions
- Clicks
- CTR (Click-through rate)
- CPM (Cost per 1,000 impressions)
- CPC (Cost per click)
Conversion Data
- Leads or conversions (if you have tracking set up)
- Cost per lead/conversion
- Conversion rate
Campaign Breakdown
- Performance by individual campaign
- Performance by ad format
- Audience insights

The dashboard updates automatically. Whatever time range you set (last 7 days, last 30 days, custom range), it pulls fresh data from LinkedIn.
Step 4: Share With Your Team
This is the whole point. Now you share the dashboard with anyone who needs it.
In Looker Studio, click Share in the top right.
[SCREENSHOT: Looker Studio share dialog]
You have a few options:
- Add people by email — They get view access to this specific dashboard
- Get a shareable link — Anyone with the link can view (great for bookmarking)
- Embed — Drop it into Notion, a wiki, or an internal portal
The people you share with:
- Can view all the data
- Can filter by date range
- Can NOT edit the dashboard (unless you give them edit access)
- Do NOT need LinkedIn Campaign Manager access
- Do NOT need a Supermetrics account
They just open the link and see live stats.
Why This Beats Manual Reporting
Let’s compare:
| Manual Reporting | Supermetrics + Looker Studio |
|---|---|
| Export CSV from LinkedIn | Data pulls automatically |
| Format in spreadsheet | Pre-built visualizations |
| Email to team | Team has live access 24/7 |
| Outdated by tomorrow | Auto-refreshes with new data |
| One channel at a time | Can add Google, Meta, etc. to same dashboard |
| You’re the bottleneck | Self-serve for the whole team |
The time savings compound. Instead of 30 minutes every week exporting and formatting reports, you spend 15 minutes once and never think about it again.

Advanced: Add More Channels to the Same Dashboard
Once you have Supermetrics set up, adding other ad platforms is easy.
We run Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads for clients. Instead of three separate dashboards, we built one cross-channel view:
- Total spend across all platforms
- Performance comparison (which channel has the best CPC?)
- Unified conversion tracking
Supermetrics connects to 100+ data sources. If you’re running ads on multiple platforms, you can pull them all into the same Looker Studio dashboard.
